Banana Bread Bow Ties

Recipe by This recipe goes way back in my family history but I have updated it to use whole wheat flour. My family can't get enough! We just love making it in the Bow Tie Tray for fun, but you can choose your own favorite shape! From the kitchen of Rebekah Osowick

Ingredients:


  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • dash salt

Directions:


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place Bow Tie Tray on Perforated Baking Sheet and set aside. Beat butter, sugar, eggs, and bananas with mixer until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together.

2. Once combined, add to banana mixture and beat on low just until blended. Spoon mixture into bow tie wells until 1/2 - 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Repeat until all batter is baked into bow ties.

Note: You can make this same recipe in any mold or tray you choose. It is beautiful in the Sunflower Mold, makes wonderful snacks in the Mini Muffin Tray or Straight Muffin Tray, or you can be traditional and make it in a Loaf Mold. (Baking times may vary)
