Beef Souvlaki Pita

Recipe by This recipe is a traditional Greek fast food and great for a homemade lunch.


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice, divided
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 whole wheat pitas
  • 2 cups leaf lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 7 oz Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons chopped mint


1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and place Flexipan Round Mold on Perforated Baking Sheet; set aside. In Mixing Bowl combine beef, onion, marjoram, oregano, garlic, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and salt and pepper.

2. Divide into 16 pieces, shaping into balls and place in Round Mold. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

3. For sauce, squeeze excess water from cucumber in paper towel. In a small bowl, stir cucumber, yogurt, mint, remaining lemon juice, salt and pepper. Set aside. Wrap pitas in foil and place in bottom of oven for 5 minutes.

4. Remove beef and pita from oven and top each with beef, lettuce, feta, and mint sauce.
