Creamy Cheese Potatoes

Recipe by Nice to have a side item that tastes great and adds character to the appearance of the meal, this is a favorite for our Sunday family meals.

Ingredients:


  • Frozen shredded hash browns
  • Shredded cheese
  • 4Tbsp butter
  • 2Tbsp flour (gluten free works well)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • Sel Gris salt
  • Fresh ground pepper

Directions:


1. Preheat the oven to 325 and fill heart wells 3/4 full with frozen hash browns and top with shredded cheese.

2. In petite sauce pan melt butter on medium to low heat, add flour and cook for approx. 3 minutes. Slowly whisk in 1 cup heavy cream, dry mustard, salt and pepper to taste, cook for a couple more minutes as it thickens.

3. . Poor sauce over hash browns and cheese in individual wells. Bake for 45 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before unmolding.
