Gingerbread Waffles

Recipe by Classic waffle iron recipe from the Food Network website, adapted for Demarle oven use! Delicious, and very festive during the holiday season!


  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) melted butter
  • Syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruits for toppings


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place Waffle Tray on Perforated Baking Sheet and set aside. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and salt. In a medium bowl, beat eggs and brown sugar until fluffy, then beat in pumpkin, milk, molasses, and melted butter.Stir the wet into the dry until just moist. Do not overstir the waffle batter. Pour batter into waffle tray wells. Fill each well about 3/4 full. Bake for about 25 minutes. Serve with toppings of choice!
