Pretzels

Recipe by I sent away for this recipe from a tv show when I was 9! It's great fun for kids of all ages- shape the dough into the ABCs, numbers, animals, etc. -Leslie Burnett

Ingredients:


  • 2 pkgs dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 4 cup flour
  • 1 beaten egg

Directions:


Mix yeast and water. Add sugar and salt (not coarse salt). Add flour and mix. Knead dough on Roul'pat til smooth. Make into shapes- not too thick or too thin- and place on the Silpat and perforated baking sheet. Brush pretzels with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 425 for 12-15 min.
