Revved Up Raisins

Recipe by Great in cookies (drain raisins for a couple of minutes before adding) A delicious topping for plain yogurt or your morning oatmeal.

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup raisins (roughly chopped)
  • 2 Tbsp DAH Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of black pepper

Directions:


Gently heat the raisins and the balsamic vinegar with half of the water in a small saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the other half of the water. After about five minutes add the remaining water. After another ten minutes, remove from heat. Allow to cool, cover and refrigerate.
