Rosemary Shortbread Dream Torte

Recipe by This is a combination of some of my favorite flavors. It is an easy way to celebrate your love for those special people in your life.

  • Package of rosemary shortbread baking mix (need 1 c butter)
  • Vanilla pudding
  • 2c Strawberries
  • 1c water
  • 6 tsp sauce thickener
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 c whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp confectioner's sugar

Follow the directions on the rosemary shortbread mix. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the heart mold on the perforated baking sheet. Pat shortbread into mold using enough mix to make an half inch crust. Bake for 17-18 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Strawberry sauce: Place strawberries and water on stove to boil. Add thickener to sugar. When boiling, add sugar mixture slowly while stirring. When desired thickness is obtained, remove from heat and cool.Beat whipping cream with cold beaters in a cold bowl. When soft peaks are formed, add vanilla and confectioner's sugar. Beat until peaks form.Remove heart shortbread from mold and place on a plate. Scoop vanilla pudding on shortbread, leaving a 1/4 inch around the edges. Add the strawberries also avoiding the edge. Place whipped cream in pastry bag and using star tip, pipe cream around the edges. The remainder of the shortbread mix can be used to make individual heart shaped cookies by using the mini heart tray. They baked at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
