Slow Cooker Cuban Pork Roast

Recipe by This is so easy to make. Don't let the list of ingredients fool you! Fix it and forget it.

  • Pork Shoulder Roast
  • ½ Cup Orange Juice
  • 1 TBSP DAH Lime Oil
  • 1 TBSP Zesty Mediterranean French Pantry Herb Blend
  • 1 TBSP Roasted Onion and Red Pepper Herb Blend
  • 1 TBSP Cumin
  • 1 TBSP Grey Salt
  • 1 TBSP Pepper
  • 7-8 Cloves of Garlic, minced using DAH Garlic Press
  • 1 Small Onion, sliced
  • Torta or French Sandwich Rolls
  • Dill Pickle Slices
  • Swiss Cheese Slices
  • Deli Ham Slices
  • Mayo & Mustard
  • Softened butter

Place small, medium, or large round mold into crock pot (which ever you have, or whichever fits best). Combine first 10 ingredients in round mold and cook on low 6-8 hours. Once pork is cooked, preheat oven to 450. Remove pork from crock pot and shred meat. Return meat to crock pot and keep warm. Warm sandwich rolls in oven for 3 minutes on Silpat. Remove from oven and spread insides of rolls with mayo and mustard. Top each side of rolls with ham, cheese, pickles and shredded pork. Spread top of roll with butter and place upside down on silpat and place into oven for 5 min. You may want to press down occasionally with a spatula on each roll or even place another silpat and perforated baking sheet on top of upside-down sandwiches to ensure the tops (now on the bottom) get browned evenly. Remove from oven and cut each roll in half diagonally. Serve with roasted sweet potatoes.
